THE "SAGRA DEI SEST"

The most traditional village festival is certainly the "Sagra dei Sést", which has taken place from more than 300 years on the first weekend of September. The date ponts out the function of this festival in ancient time: it was the market where farmers used to buy the basket made by reeds or withe, the "thestons", for vintage. The festival took place near the Sanctuary of the Trinity "La Santissima", but, in this century, it moved to the square of Polcenigo, changing the name in "Sagra dei Sést". Every year thousands of persons meet in the square to admire and buy the typical products of this and other kinds of handicraft; the craftsmen use withe, reed, wood, .... In a small yard not far from the square, you can see the ancient trade "living" again.
