THE NATURALISTIC PARK OF SAN FLORIANO

The naturalistic park of San Floriano, which lies on the homonymous hill, belonges to Bazzi Foundation and it is managed by the Amministrazione Provinciale of Pordenone. It was open in November 1980 and it consists of a didactic preserve both for the local flora and fauna. The park intends to be an example of environmental restoration of the hills of our province made by experimental cultivations. They have not to alter the enviromental balance, to be interesting from an economical point of view and so to sustitute the most diffused one that, as we know, need some chemical products. In the park a lot of evocative courses can be found. On the top of the hills there is a small Church with nave and semicircular apse. It is antecedent to 1000, and it's adorned by frescos painted between XIII and XV century.
