COLTURA

Landscape of Coltura villageThe inhabited place of Coltura lies along the slope of the mountain and it's rich of remarkable examples of traditional architecture: houses of stone with wooden gallery faced the south, outside staircase and a complex and original interlacing made by courtyards and terraced sites to create mediation between architecture and territory morphology. Coltura's inhabitedThe first mention of the Church of San Lorenzo dates back to 1371, even if it has a more ancient origin. Its actual form is due to repairs in 1890 - 1908 and to repairs after the earthquake of 1936.
